Paul Casey has just released his most honest and heartfelt song in years.
After watching news of the tragic school shooting in Texas, Casey felt compelled to write and record ‘How Come?’
“It’s a poem, a stream of consciousness, I’m just asking ‘how is this possible?'” says the Derry man from his home studio. “The world is definitely a different place, I feel like there’s no middle ground anymore. As a father it’s a constant worry”.
Paul Casey has found a new voice. ‘How Come?’ is a change in direction for the musician known for his lavish, blues guitar riff-driven songs. The new offering is a more stripped back composition with a spoken word delivery echoing the late recordings of Leonard Cohen.
‘How Come?’ is released on Friday, June 3rd.
