Terms and Conditions
1. Applicant must be a member of IMRO for the World for at least 12 months before they can avail of a travel grant. In the case of bands applying for a travel grant, at least 2 members of the band must be members of IMRO for the World for at least 12 months prior to applying.
2. Applicant cannot avail of a grant 2 years running.
3. Successful applicants may receive an IMRO Travel Grant on a maximum of 2 occasions in a period of 5 years.
4. Applications for grants must be made in writing to IMRO at least one month prior to travel. Full details concerning the purpose of the overseas travel must be supplied in writing to IMRO.
5. Documentary evidence of travel must be supplied to IMRO in advance of travel (e.g. flight details, hotel bookings, festival invites etc).
6. Travel grant payments are made to applicants following their return from overseas travel.
7. Where possible the applicant must acknowledge the awarding of the IMRO Travel Grant.
8. Grant Values:
- €500 - individual members travelling overseas.
- €1,000 - maximum contribution to bands travelling overseas.
Attendance at International Music Industry Conferences
To qualify for funding under this strand of the IMRO Travel Grant Scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicant must be a member of IMRO for the World for at least 12 months before applying for a travel grant.
2. Applicant must be a fully registered delegate at the music conference (proof of registration and travel/accommodation receipts should be provided to IMRO).
3. Applicant can only apply for funding from this strand of the scheme once within a twelve-month period.
4. Successful applicants may receive a grant of up to €1,250. The grant amount will be determined based on the costs associated with delegate registration, whether the applicant is in receipt of a grant from another source and their travel/accommodation expenses.
9. The Travel Grant is provided to the Applicant by IMRO as part of its membership development activities.

(a) The Applicant is not while availing of Travel Grant an employee, contractor or agent of IMRO and is not authorised to bind IMRO to any obligations or undertakings without the prior written authorisation of IMRO.
(b) The specific travel and other arrangements made by the Applicant are entirely a matter for the Applicant. IMRO is not responsible for or liable to the Applicant or any third party in respect of any of the Applicants arrangements for travelling and for anything that occurs to the Applicant.
(c) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, IMRO is not responsible for any travel related issues e.g. delays, cancellations, visa related issues, customs and excise related issues including the export / import of equipment and materials not authorised to be exported / imported injuries to the person of the Applicant and loss of or damages to equipment, baggage and any other materials brought by the Applicant with him/her.
(d) Any publicity or promotional activities undertaken by the Applicant using IMRO's name and/or logo should only be undertaken with IMRO's prior written approval save in respect of incidental references to the fact that the Applicant is travelling on an IMRO travel grant to promote the Applicants repertoire.
(e) The Applicant is advised to take out travel and other insurances in relation to the occurrences referred to above as well as all other insurances normally taken out by persons undertaking the activities contemplated by the Travel Grant.
11. The Applicant indemnifies and agrees to keep IMRO indemnified and held harmless against any and all losses costs damages and expenses which may be incurred by or affecting IMRO arising out of any of the occurrences contemplated by the matters referred to in paragraph 10. above.
