Lonely is the second single from Sena Dee’s highly anticipated upcoming EP – ‘Songs About You’ (due May 2023). Sena spent two years in Ghana and during this time was heavily involved in the creative and music industry, many of his upcoming releases are collaborations or in some way linked to Ghana.
‘Lonely features a trembling base, a catchy hook and captivating lyrics that will ensure this track will be stuck in your head for days. Recorded in New York City this track is a collaboration with SuperJazzClub member and afrobeats artist, BiQo.
The track is self-produced with guitars by Jeune Oji, mixed by Andy Bauer and mastered by Benjamin LaFont
Sena Dee is an alternative singer/songwriter & producer from Galway, Ireland.
Having spent his college years DJing locally and internationally in countries such France, Belgium, India and US he has completely reinvented himself and is excited to share this with the world.
After taking some time away from music to travel, it wasn’t until 2020 when Sena ventured back into the studio this time lending his vocals to a track. His unique sound is crafted from his experiences and adventures. Sena describes his sound as ‘alternative Singy-Singy Rap, if that is even a thing’. Among his inspirations he lists Bakar, Van Morrison, Loyle Carner, Thin Lizzy and J.Cole.
With a string of releases planned for 2023, the future looks promising for this young artist.
BiQo – Bio
BiQo (born Stephen Sackitey Biko Okletey) is an afrosoul artist from Accra, Ghana. His love for music began at a tender age and his passion saw him representing Ghana in Nigeria at the MTN Project Fame West Africa music competition in 2015.
BiQo has performed at the famous Montreux Jazz club in Switzerland. He has worked with some of the top producers and musicians like Kwame Yeboah, Kojo Antwi and Kobi Onyame. He is currently a member of SuperJazzClub, a Ghanian Music collective that has gone from strength in recent years and currently boast over 100,000 monthly spotify listeners ahead of a european tour this summer.
