The streaming world, still very much in its infancy, can be confusing and sometimes frustrating. What is playlist strategy? How do I get people to hear my music? How many services are there and how does each one work? While there are no direct answers to a lot of these questions, there are a number of different ways to use these platforms to your advantage.
The workshop will be hosted by Ceri Dixon who is currently the Head of Digital Partnerships at Ireland’s biggest Independent record label and management company Rubyworks Records (Hozier, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Hudson Taylor, Otherkin, Little Hours, Wyvern Lingo, Eve Belle). Having played a key role in the creation of Universal Music UK’s streaming department in 2014, Ceri then spent the next four years managing streaming accounts across the group until late last year.
The workshop is free to women/non-binary people working or interested in working in the industry but booking is essential. Places can be confirmed by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. It will also be the last She Said So event of the year so come along, have a drink and meet other women working in the industry in Dublin.
