Sean ‘Doctor’ Millar opens his 2023 account with new single, ‘Danny McCoy’, and the announcement of an Irish and European tour.
Talking about the track, Sean says… “ We never know what people are going through on the inside. We imagine, as we drag ourselves through our own life dramas, that everyone else is having an easier ride. I met someone I went to school with, a lovely guy. We hadn’t seen each other for at least thirty years. He told me what he’d been up to. I couldn’t believe how epic a life he’d had. I think he was surprised by mine too.
I wrote this song as a short story to illustrate that but the narrator has a lot of me in him I guess. I’ve said those words to people.”
