Royalties

Royalties ensure that creators are fairly compensated when their music is used, whether it’s played on the radio, streamed online, or performed live. This section explains how royalties are assessed, distributed, and enforced, helping music rights holders understand what they’re owed and how to claim it.

Copyright and licencing

In most countries, including Ireland and throughout the EU copyright in music lasts for 70 years after the death of the last surviving author of the work.
