Indie Singer-Songwriter Pauric O’Meara releases new Single ‘Tell Me’ today September 18th
Produced by David Curley (The Cope, Otherkin, The clinic Studios), ‘Tell me‘’ , continues the sound and theme of the EP, following on from the successful release of ‘Still Feel Young’, highlighting the importance of being yourself and not letting the world around you force you to act in a certain way, as ‘we’re going to be old and cynical for long enough!’
Opening with smack of tempo and energy with rhetorical, melancholic lyrics, this track will have listeners hooked from the start. Pauric O’Meara puts some hard facts and questions on the table for the listeners, questioning what we as a generation think is important, the level of pettiness that can be displayed in the the things we give out about, while from the outside world looking in, they wouldn’t be too far off saying we have it easy in the grand scheme of things.
With the verses full of energy and picture realism of the scenario O’ Meara is exploring, and the chorus stripping back for the poignant questioning and reflections of the listeners, this track is sure to hit home with the audiences at home and abroad, and will in turn, as O’ Meara hopes, help us to smile a bit more and be grateful for the little things.
Speaking about the single Pauric explains:
”Tell me is an open book reflection on what I think about the ideologies of people these days, including myself. The things we give out about, when for other people it would be a dream for that to even be a thought. The things we get worked up over, when across the world we are viewed as being luckier than ever.
Every single one of us has been given a path to follow, but unfortunate for some, that path is laiden with obstacles. They are given lives that really make you stop and think. I’m lucky enough to have travelled to places where this is very evident, became friends with people where that is their reality, and it always made me feel a certain way, gave me a certain appreciation for what I have that I never felt before. and with this track, I want you to go on that same journey, and ‘Tell me, how does it make you feel?”
This EP comes from a very personal place on my thoughts and feelings about the opinions of both my own, and others, and how if we all focused on what’s really important, a life of smiles and appreciation is in front of all of us.”
