Folk Singer-Songwriter Patrick stefan drops new Single ahead of performance at Ireland Music Week
You Are is the first release of 2024 by future folk singer-songwriter Patrick stefan following on from his debut album, Wayfare, pre-empting his follow up album set for release in 2025.
Patrick stefan performs at Ireland Music Week on Friday October 2nd, at Workman’s cellar, 9pm.
With a catchy, flowing melody, driving beat and chiming guitars, You Are is a tender reflection on longing for connection without seeking validation, how deep and whimsical thoughts pass by equally.
About the song Patrick says;
“You Are – is an affirmation to myself, and to love. It’s about self-understanding through a partner in the midst of questioning my own place. Relationships are confusing – the song is a snapshot of a moment in thought that still makes sense when you zoom out.”

In 2024 Patrick has performed at Folk Alliance USA & Your Roots are Showing showcases, and for Whelan’s ‘Ones to Watch’ and is fast becoming a must-see live act that captivates audiences with his hypnotic intensity and folk charm.
Patrick followed the path of his father’s folk-singing- footsteps after an array of collaborations with artists like Niwel Tsumbu (Rhiannon Giddens), fiddler Martin Hayes (with award-winning instrumental group Ensemble Ériu) & Eurovision winner Luisa Sobral.
After racking up over half a million streams on Superman – a star-studded soulful co-write with Uly & Rob de Boer, Patrick was tipped as by the likes of Nialler9 & BBC’s Across The Line for his unique sound.
