The IMRO Stage at INDIE22 | Lavengro

July 27, 2022

Indie-pop band Lavengro have been making waves across the North & South of Ireland with their upbeat & punchy hooks. Hailing from Derry City, Gareth, Dave, James & Jordan are dominating national radio stations recently with their original songs about their life experiences.

We spoke to Lavengro ahead of their performance this weekend on the IMRO Stage at Indiependence;

Is this your first time playing at INDIE?

Yes, our first time playing here, massive milestone for us as it’s something we’ve always wanted to do and we’re really excited about it !

When can people see you on the IMRO Stage?

We’ll be on the IMRO Stage at 16:15, first on, but at least we’ll get a chance to see all the other amazing acts afterwards.

What should we expect?

Expect to see a new LAVENGRO, we’ve literally been locked in rehearsing for a good year getting very down n dirty with ideas of how we can bring something EXTRA to our live shows and we really can’t wait to bring it to the IMRO Stage on Sunday .

Which of the other acts are you hoping to catch live this weekend?

Dave : Really can’t wait to see The Academic, would be my first time seeing them so can’t wait, and wouldn’t mind getting a good laugh from the 2 johnnies also!

Gareth: really can’t wait to catch Declan McKenna !

James: From being the drummer, I’m kind of geeking out of the thought of seeing Bastille and Disclosure.

Jordan: Can’t wait to see The Blizzards

What’s next for you?

We’ve a lot in the pipeline that we can’t wait to announce, gigs, studio sessions and most definitely one or two cheeky single releases. Make no doubt you’ll be hearing a lot more from us this year !

Make sure to catch Lavengro live at INDIE22, on Sunday July 31st at 4:15pm on the IMRO Stage.

INDIE22 takes place in Mitchelstown on the Bank Holiday Weekend of July 29-31.
