The Altered Hours and The Bonk to Play Live at St Luke’s
The Altered Hours and The Bonk to Play Live at St Luke’s
June 26, 2019
The Good Room are excited to announce the return of The Altered Hours to Live at St Luke’s, Cork, with special guests The Bonk, Friday 27th September, as part of their summer tour.
The Altered
Hours’ music takes on many forms, exploring vast psychedelic spaces, immediate
post-punk tones, repetitive rhythms and propelling structures. Having
previously released music with Anton Newcombe’s label ‘A Recordings’ and Irish
indie labels such as Art For Blind Records and Penske
Recordings, the band have toured extensively across Europe
over the past few years. Their discography to date has shown an
ever evolving style, sometimes unpredictable yet always exciting.
Live, they have become known for their intense and exhilarating
performances.
The Bonk –
a project based around compositions by Philip Christie (O Emperor), are also
confirmed for the bill. Gathering influences from 60’s garage, jazz and
experimental pop, The Bonk bring together recursive rhythms and improvised
melody in loose minimal song forms.
The Altered Hours play Live at St. Luke’s in Cork as part of their summer tour Friday 27th September, with special guests The Bonk on support. Tickets €20 go on sale from uticket.ie 10am Friday 28th June.
