‘Bind My Hands’ is the second single to be released off San Rocco’s forthcoming debut EP – ‘People Verses’. Following on from the success of their first single, ‘Enola’, ‘Bind My Hands’ showcases a more dynamic side to the Dublin quintet’s sound.
‘Bind My Hands’ is about romantic insecurities and the self-destructive path one can find themself on when those internalised feelings begin to fester.
In contrast to their last single ‘Bind My Hands’ sees a slower more melodic style of songwriting from the band . The recording was built up using pianos, synths and programmed drums, which helped create an air of tension that builds towards a loud smashy catharsis.
‘Bind My Hands’ was recorded at Black Mountain Studio, Co. Louth by Peter Broderick (Just Mustard, The Divine Comedy, Hozier) in Spring 2023. The track was then sent to London to be mixed and produced by Richie Kennedy who brought his experience of working with The Murder Capital, Interpol and Ed O’Brien to the track. Richie added some unique touches that helped round out the sound the band were looking for.
The track was then mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, Echo and the Bunnymen) at Air Studios, London.
‘Bind My Hands’ is released on all platforms now.
