Just G drops new feel-good single ‘Anywhere’

January 20, 2023

JustG is an Irish electronic music producer and DJ. First bursting onto the Irish music scene at the age of 17, JustG established himself as a highly sought after DJ, booking weekly slots in some of Ireland’s biggest venues. After many years in the DJ scene, JustG eventually turned towards music production and started to produce commercial house remixes of popular songs. This eventually led to him releasing his debut single “Don’t Feel The Same” with LA based singer/songwriter Amanda Renee.

After taking a break from producing music to focus his attention back on DJ’ing, JustG eventually returned in early 2021 as part of the electronic music production duo HalfTraxx. HalfTraxx debut single “Loving You” with Sarah McTernan went straight in at number 2 in the Overall Irish iTunes charts, and debuted at number 14 in the Official Irish Homegrown charts. Their follow up single “Falling For You” with UK artist Michael Rice debuted at number 3 in the overall Irish iTunes charts.

Before leaving HalfTraxx to focus on his solo career, JustG had amounted over 1 million radio impacts, and over 300k streams, along with features in established press such as Hot Press magazine and Buzz.ie. JustG has continued to shape his sound in the studio, transitioning back and forth between pop and house music.

His most recent release ‘Bad Decisions’ was track of the week with Laura Fox on RTE 2FM and track of the week on Spin Southwest with Katie Sheehan and was featured in Hotpress, InMusic and many more.

Latest single ‘Anywhere’ written and produced by JustG, is a feel-good dance pop track. The song is about being in love with someone and feeling somewhat stuck in a rut where you are.

It’s about reaching that point where you just want to get up and go. It doesn’t matter where you go, as long as you are together with that person you love.

“I have been sitting on this song since December 2021. I rewrote the whole instrumental 3 or 4 times over the course of 2022. I was just never happy with it. Eventually I was happy with how it sounded so I put up a snippet on social media, and the response was amazing so I just had to put it out as my first release of 2023.”
