Evie announces heavenly new single – ‘Paris.’

March 25, 2024

Evie announces the release of her new single ‘Paris’ on Friday 5th April 2024. Paris is the third single from Evie’s much-anticipated sophomore EP ‘Shiny Things.’ Shiny Things is a 5-track EP, set for release May 2024. The first single ‘Devil’ and second single ‘Mighty Boy’ earned nationwide acclaim.

Paris is a delicate mix of raw guitar, intimate vocals, violin and considered percussion. Silky lyrics and a low-end soundscape, balance beau8fully, the depth and delicacy of this track.

Evie says: “Paris is the solace song of the EP. Less fuss, more fiddle and showcased in a way that I think, extends a lot more grit to a snug tune like this.” Paris marks the soder, yet dynamic side of the Shiny Things EP. The track lingers on an Irish jig, paying tribute to the assured rhythm and cosiness of acoustic-led song wri8ng – a trademark of Evie’s sound. Paris and the Shiny Things EP was recorded in Sun Studios, Dublin, produced by Jack Joyce and mastered by Killian Taylor.

Evie is alt-folk with a twist. Her debut EP ‘Since the Fire,’ released in 2022 earned nods from the likes of Nialler9, Hot Press Magazine and RTE 2XM. At 22, Evie is happy to be the haunted house of the Irish music scene, drawing on influences such as Radiohead, Lisa Hannigan and Laura Marling. Crowned ‘One to Watch 2024’ by Whelan’s, Dublin and ‘Hot for 2024’ by Hot Press Magazine, Evie is garnering the attention of industry and audience alike. Evie’s live performances include sold out Dublin shows, performances at the CCI Paris, the Ruby Sessions, support for Lao Noah and an appearance at the Sligo Arts Festival. Television and media appearances include TradFest’s ‘The Fingal Sessions’ 2024 alongside Wallis Bird, presented by Hot House Flowers’ Fiachna Ó Braonáin and Hot Press’ Young and Emerging Artist Series 2023. Evie’s 5-track sophomore EP, ‘Shiny Things,’ comes out in May 2024. The first single ‘Devil’ and second single ‘Mighty Boy’ earned acclaim from Hot Press Magazine, Golden Plec, TradFest, Nialler9, Dublin Tilt and Void Magazine. Tipped as a song writing triumph, Evie is on track to be a serious voice in the Irish music scene and beyond.
