Dublin Songwriting Circle to host second event on February 22nd

February 20, 2024

Following a successful first event last month, Dublin Songwriting Circle will return to the Black Sheep on Capel Street on February 22nd for another Songwriting Feedback and Networking Event. The event, inspired by the successful Camden Songwriting Circle in London, looks to create a safe space for Dublin songwriters to present their works in progress and receive supportive and constructive feedback from the audience. Attendees will then be given the opportunity to network with other songwriters and creatives, where they can share advice and discuss whatever they may be struggling with when it comes to their songwriting. Collaboration conversations are also very much encouraged. Spectators are also encouraged to come along and to join in on the night.

Talking about the reaction to the first event, Eve (organiser, singer-songwriter) said: ’The outcome of our first event was proof: A space like this was long overdue in Dublin. We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received during our networking part! Attendees told us that it was refreshing to be in a room with like-minded people who share some of the same ambitions and struggles.’

Adding to that, Luke Clerkin (organiser, singer-songwriter) said ‘We’re all so excited to see what happens next for our events. The talent and songs on show at our first one were incredible. I felt the same way that I did when I was in Camden Songwriting Circle last year, full of love and support. I think they would have been really proud of us! Here’s to the future, and to more safe spaces for creatives!’

Dublin Songwriting Circle’s second songwriting feedback and networking event will take place at 7.30 pm on January 25th downstairs in The Black Sheep on Capel Street.

Sign up for the event is at 7 pm, with 15 places only, first come, first served.

Dublin Songwriting Circle is a collective of songwriters founded by Dublin based songwriter’s Luke Clerkin, All Things Eve and Navya. The collective, inspired by the successful Camden Songwriting Circle in London, looks to create a safe space for Dublin songwriters to present their works in progress and receive supportive and constructive feedback from the audience.
