Colin O’Shea is Back with New Single ‘Hollywood On Fire’
After an enforced hiatus, Colin O’Shea is back with a fresh bag of exciting tunes and the first out of the traps is his upcoming single “Hollywood On Fire” out 30th Sept 2022. This 80’s feel electro pop tune is bound to keep the summer vibes rolling and your speakers thumping!
O’Shea had burst onto the scene in October 2017 with his debut single, the Springsteen-esque anthem, ‘Booze n’ Hangovers’. Soon after in November of same year, the Dublin songwriter released his debut album ‘Scars and Tones’, to widespread critical acclaim, with industry press comparisons such as Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan and U2. Its positive response had set him up as one of the Irish artists to watch in 2018. O’Shea went on to make his festival debut during summer 2018 opening the famed Castlepalooza boutique Irish festival.
Back in the studio since 2019 recording his 2nd album, all was going according to plan until the global pandemic hit that put finishing the record on hold. During that period, further tragic incurred with the sudden loss of his band drummer and confidant, Paul Lynch.
However, the Dublin songwriter is now back to pick up where he left off. Teaming up once again with David Prendergast on production duties (Kodaline, Overhead The Albatross, RWYR), to complete his sophomore studio album due out March 2023, with a new single expected each month before then.
