Greg Clifford is an independent musician and interdisciplinary artist currently residing in Berlin. His latest hard hitting number is accompanied with a dada-esque video that alludes to the absurd nature of the world. The visuals are presented as if someone is mindlessly flicking through TV channels.
According to Clifford, ‘the collective psyche is undermined and under attack in a tumultuous fabricated world rife with superficiality, herd mentality, mindless consumerism and hyper capitalism. The compulsion to create this video was fuelled by the fact not only are we inundated with imagery, we are also subjected to inhumanity and evil on a daily basis’.
The video was produced by Greg Clifford and Sinéad Frew, while the track features Greg on vocals, guitars, bass and keys with Jay Bagnall (of Paranoid Visions and the Steve Ignorant Band) on drums. Bad News was engineered by Lucrezia Gnagni in Sun Studios Dublin and mixed and mastered by Ian ‘Werkhouse’ Flynn.
