Caroline Reel evokes the spirit of Elvis on new single ‘I Want You To Tell Me’

April 28, 2023

I Want You To Tell Me’ is the new single release on Friday 28th April by Caroline Reel, singer songwriter from Silverbridge, South Armagh.

“It’s essentially a fun song to encourage people to get up and dance. I think it lends itself to a kind of Lindy Hop style of dancing. There’s a nod to Elvis in the song with his ‘blue suede shoes’.”

This new single follows on from Caroline’s very successful debut album ‘The Waters of Life’ on 1st March 2019 and an EP ‘Standing Still Feeling Free’ in 2012.

Caroline’s music is sometimes referred to as funky country where her country voice along with rock, reggae and blues influences doesn’t particularly fit into one music genre.

The new single, as with her debut album, was recorded at her brother Ben Reel’s studio at Drumill Lane Recording Studio on the laneway where she was born and reared.

Caroline enjoys playing at the smaller, more intimate festivals and singer-songwriter sessions around Ireland. She has also performed in The Spirit Store and Toales Tavern, Dundalk and played in Amsterdam and Haarlem, The Netherlands.

Caroline is co-founder of Avocado Rocks, a monthly showcase event for independent artists and bands which has just celebrated its first very successful year.

“As an independent artist myself, I appreciate the need for opportunities to play to live audiences. I am delighted to be able to do this for other artists and bands through our Avocado Rocks nights.”
