Carlow-based producer Hawk Jupiter drops vibrant new single Almighty

February 10, 2023

Irish music producer Hawk Jupiter’s energetic new single ‘Almighty’ has been released today, Friday February 10th 2023.

Fusing elements of disco, house, jazz and hip hop, the uptempo track marks the seventh single from the emerging producer who takes inspiration from a wide range of artists including The Chemical Brothers, Caribou, N.E.R.D and Roisin Murphy.

The high octane single meshes 90s rave inspired-synths with a funk-inspired bassline, a jazz enriched piano breakdown and explosive drums.

The track is further enhanced by the inclusion of a raucous vocal sample from Kansas rapper Duncan Burnett, as originally featured in the Mark Francis’ 2019 single ‘Cash’.

“Sonically this track was in part inspired by artists like The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy, who were relentless in their pursuit of high-octane songs and weren’t afraid to mix genres or create a sound that went against the grain,” mentions Hawk Jupiter.

Previous singles from the Carlow based producer have gained airplay on 2FM, 2XM, Today FM, Beat 102 103, KCLR FM as well as coverage from international tastemakers Husky Tunes, Glasse Factory, Hertz Magazine and Popmuzik.

The release is Hawk Jupiter’s first of 2023, with a string of exciting releases and collaborations planned for the year ahead.

Hawk Jupiter will be launching the single in person at the ‘Love Music, Love Local Talent’ event in MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre in Kilkenny on Friday 10th. The event, organised celebrates the launch of an innovative new playlist of local artists that will feature in the shopping centre each Saturday and Sunday.
