Pat Pattison Master Class
Pat Pattison returns to Dublin for the first time since 2013. This four-hour session will spend the first half focusing on prosody and the art of matching lyrics and music, both setting words to melody, and phrasing. In the second half of the session, Pat will look at selected participant’s songs, focusing on setting, phrasing, rhythm, and many other tools that have proven so useful to Grammy winners John Mayer and Gillian Welch and seminar participants across the globe.
On the day there will be a break for lunch between 1pm & 2pm. If you wish to be included in the critique session in the second half of the day (between 2pm & 4pm) please forward on an MP3 of your chosen song along with lyric sheet when booking. Submissions are open to all attending, between 3-5 songs will be chosen at random.
