Kaleidoscope Launch Gala

Kaleidoscope Night are launching their seventh year with a Season Launch Gala tonight at 8pm in the Unitarian Church. The concert will feature New Dublin Voices, Francesco Turrisi and the Taquin Experiments, John Adams’ Shaker Loops and Mozarts Gran Partita for 13 winds, conducted by Fergus Sheil.

Songlines Original Showcase Tour open for submissions

The popular Singer/Songwriter night will take a weekly residency in Galway, Mayo, Donegal, Dublin & Derry this Sept – Dec 11th 2015 (Venues TBC)

An eclectic mix of genres Country, Pop, Rock, R&B, Soul, Jazz to Hip Hop & Metal are all welcome.

Following on from the success of the ‘Strung Series’ and in continuation of our 2015 programme, ICC are delighted to present ‘long sole sound w/ Léonie Bluett’.

The concert will premiere 7 new works composed especially for clarinetist Leonie Bluett by ICC members, first workshopped in June 2015.
The programme features a diverse range of styles in a mixture of acoustic and electronic material by composers Elis Czerniak, Hugh Martin Boyle, Daniel Reid, Barry O’Halpin, Killian O’Kelly, Kevin Free & Teodor Iuliu Radu.

The Pretty Things Return With New Album & First Irish Date in 30 Years

Having recently released their first new studio album in seven years ‘The Sweet Pretty Things (Are In Bed Now, Of Course…) The Pretty Things return with as much gusto as they had when they started performing fifty-two years ago. The Pretty Things are Phil May (vocals) Dick Taylor (lead guitar, vocals), Frank Holland (lead guitar, mellotron, vocals), George Woosey (bass guitar, vocals, rhythm guitar), and Jack Greenwood (drums, percussion, vocals).

Irish folk duo set to release new “The Birds Never Cease” album

The Liam Merriman song ‘Dead Man’s Trail’ kicks off the new album The Birds Never Cease by Merriman and Eoin O’Meachair set for release on-line and on CD during September.

As Eoin O’Meachair, who plays mandolin and whistle on the album, explains, “We’ve opted for ‘Dead Man’s Trail’ as the lead track for The Birds Never Cease because it has an upbeat radio-friendly feel and reflects the stimulating blend of Irish folk and American roots we achieved on the album. Recording it in Nashville gave ‘Dead Man’s Trail’ the cross-cultural musical blend we were looking for”.

Codes are all set for highly anticipated AALTARS album release

Irish alternative quartet Codes, will release their second studio album – AALTARS -on September 18th – their latest body of work since 2009’s Choice Music Prize nominated debut ‘Trees Dream In Algebra’.

To celebrate the release of AALTARS, the band will be performing live at their official launch party at Whelans, Dublin, on the 19th of September. Tickets are €10 (incl. booking fee) via Wavtickets.ie.
