The album contains the track from their latest video ‘Just Once’ and the forthcoming ‘Australia’ as well as previous singles ‘Two Enemies’ and ‘Harpoon’
‘Prussian Blushes’ is the result of long and involved production; songs and lyrics were written in bedrooms, old houses and cafés, near rivers and on beaches. Demoing took place in Versives HQ and the end result was produced and recorded by long-time friend Ciarán O’ Shea.
The Certain Three Tour returns for its fifth year this week with another eclectic lineup of three of the most exciting acts to emerge from Ireland and the UK in some time.
Curated and organised by Irish booking agency Word of Mouth, this year’s tour sees psych-rock act The Altered Hours (A Recordings; pictured) and New-York/Dublin-based literary pop artist Myles Manley join Manchester’s new shoegaze stars Patterns (Melodic Records) for five dates across Ireland.
The Certain Three Tour has become a staple of the Irish music calendar over the past five years, with previous tours featuring Katie Kim, O Emperor, We Cut Corners, The Lost Brothers and Alessi’s Ark, amongst others.

The Bello Sessions will be launching in the Lower Deck Bar, Portobello, Rathmines this coming 1st May. The aim of the event is to showcase emerging artists and bands in Dublin.
Lined up to perform on the launch night are Arrow in the Sky, Red Sail, Mark O’Callaghan, Marcus Carcus and Ross “The Sheriff” Kelly.
Last Thursday, as part of President Higgins’ State visit to Britain, the Royal Albert Hall in London played host to Ceiliúradh, a celebration of Ireland’s long-standing cultural connections with Britain.
The event featured musical performances from Paul Brady, The Gloaming, Glen Hansard, Lisa Hannigan, Eimear Quinn, John Sheahan, Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny and Imelda May.
The event also featured a performance from Conor O’Brien of Villagers (pictured), who duetted with Elvis Costello on the song “Shipbuilding”.
A special house band also performed throughout the evening featuring some of Ireland’s finest musicians including Liam Bradley, John Carty, Anthony Drennan, Graham Henderson, Donal Lunny, Mike McGoldrick, Paul Moore, Caitlin NicGabhann, Mairtin O’Connor and Brendan Power.
The Song Collector Sessions is a show that gets up close and personal with Ireland’s most established, leading and promising artists, allowing audiences to get an insight into the minds and music of some of this country’s greatest songwriters and indeed, song collectors.

This Aprilworld-famous Irish trad music legends Moya Brennan (the voice of Clannad) and Cormac De Barra (celebrated Harper) perform in this beautiful music show that they have created especially for children and families.
Commemorating 1000 years since the Battle of Clontarf, Ten14 uses gorgeous music and lyrics to evoke the adventures of our first High King, Brian Boru, and his love of the harp.
As part of its ongoing focus on music, The Ark commissioned Moya Brennan and Cormac de Barra to create a new music concert for children and families. Both Moya and Cormac were fascinated by the history of Brian Boroimhe as children. They also shared with him a love of the harp which furthered their interest in the man, the music and the myth. Brian Boru’s ‘March’ was one of the first pieces both Moya and Cormac learned on the harp and they jumped at this chance to celebrate the hero himself, his last battle, his harp and to bring his story to life through music and song. The concert will combine brand new music and well-loved trad tunes as you’ve never heard them before.
Join Moya Brennan and Cormac de Barra on a magical musical journey for everyone aged 4 to 104 on Thursday, April 24th at Riverbank Arts Centre.

The Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast is set to launch the third year of its talent development programme ‘Scratch My Progress’. The scheme will again offer four musical acts the chance to hothouse their talent, learning about the business of music plus the trades of performing and writing.
Mick Flannery announces the release of his highly anticipated fourth album ‘By The Rule’, released on Universal Music Ireland on May 9th. Available to pre-order from April 25th

Cork duo, Yearning Curve, are set to release their debut album, “The Murder Machine”. The album launch will take place on 8th May in Coughlan’s of Cork and on 8th June upstairs in Whelans, Dublin.
Songs are inspired by Wikileaks (The Whistleblower), the corporatisation of our world (Control Inc.), famine past and present (Sometimes) and grinders in personal relationships (On The Wheel). Some explore empathy (Cruel, The Politician), consumer effects on the Third World (Distant Drum) and the 1913 Lockout/modern sweatshop abuses (The Soldier).
