Pearse McGloughlin and Nocturnes Release Their New Single ‘Serpents’ On November 13th

Serpents Launch Gig – Nocturnes + Hilary Woods NOVEMBER 13th at The Workman’s Club Dublin

‘Serpents’ is the third single from Nocturnes’ critically acclaimed album ‘The Soft Animal’. Serpents speaks to dark states of mind that can surround us as we make our way through life. It echoes loneliness, solitude and introspection but questions the darkness, calling it out; is it real, or imagined?

The video for Serpents was shot on location in Strandhill, Edenbaun and Knocknarea, Co. Sligo by Myles O’Reilly (Arbutus Yarns).

Myles O’Reilly on the piece:

‘We had a very simple idea…Pearse was to pick up a stone and climb the height of Knocknarea mountain and place the stone on the ancient cairn of queen Maeve. It wasn’t until we began rolling that the epic terra firma that is Sligo began to make the video for us. We did little and Sligo did it all. I’m proud that such an atmospheric piece found a perfect home in the sea, wind and hills of Pearse hometown.”….. Myles O’Reilly

Nocturnes will be joined by special guest Hilary Woods who released her atmospheric Heartbox EP this year to critical acclaim.

Robert Grace – Talk to Me

robertgracepic‘TALK TO ME’ may have been Robert’s debut solo release, however, this all rounder from the beautiful town of Graiguenamanagh in Co. Kilkenny is no stranger to the studio, or the charts!

In recent years Robert has developed into a songwriter/producer/performer of note. Robert wrote three and co-produced four tracks on (Louis Walsh – boyband) Hometown’s recent chart topping album released on Sony Music. He has also co-written with some of the best-known songwriters in the UK including: Dan McDougall (The Wanted, The Shires), Blair MacKichan (Paloma Faith/Sia/Lily Allen), Phil Thornalley (Natalie Imbruglia/Pixie Lott), Josh Wilkinson (One Direction / 5 seconds of Summer) and David Munday (Tina Turner/Pixie Lott/Belinda Carlisle)

In his capacity as writer and producer, Robert has helped other artist’s music achieve chart success.

It seems righteous, therefore, that his own EP, ‘Talk To Me’ entered the iTunes album chart at No 2 on its release in May, and that the title track from the EP has garnered strong airplay across the country since its issue. Indeed, ‘Talk To Me’, the radio single, was the most played song on RTE Radio 1 this June.
