PRESS
Dan Hegarty 2fm – “Tomorrow’s Light & Darkness is a gem from a very talented producer“.

Jim Carroll The Irish Times – “Tracks like Sliced and American Scene from the debut “0415” EP by the Dublin-based producer showcase someone quickly figuring out how to add meaty, beaty electronic oomph to neatly finessed cinematic ideas.”

RedBull Music’s Blog – “There nothing quite like a bit of contrast when it comes to a tune and its video. Will De Burca is on this wavelength if his new single ‘Visions We Have Are Fading Away’ is anything to go by. The tranquil bliss of the tune, and rapid beauty of the visuals work wonderfully well”.

Remy Music Blog – “A highly engaging collection of tracks which gently prods the listener in the direction it was intended to take them in, a truly rewarding album by the Dublin electronic artist.

John Baker 98 fm – “Excellent debut album from Dublin based producer Will de Burca“.

Tom Ryan Screens Debut Short and Live Performance

On Saturday, the 26th of August 2017,  Tom Ryan, will be screening his debut short film “A Man With A Plan” and also performing original songs live, together with Michael Laffan and Birgit Burhenne in Shannon Rowing Club. The evening will have a Film Noir feel and people can dress accordingly, but this is not compulsory. The doors open at 9 pm and the entry is free. Spaces are limited, so please come early to avoid disappointment.

The song “A Man With A Plan” was written in 2014 and was inspired by one of Tom’s favourite movies, Casablanca. “I always felt an artistic need to create a visual to further express the message of this song. With no financial backing I was not sure how to make my vision a reality, but as the saying goes: “where there is a will, there is a way”. I was very fortunate to find three other people, in my acting/drama class, whom share the same passion for film and we completed this project without money but with sheer dedication and motivation. I wrote the screen play, co-directed and co-edited this short film and am hugely proud of the end result.”

To give a brief synopsis of the short film..

Simone and Jay currently live in an annex in an industrial unit on the outskirts of Limerick City. Jay has a dark secret and he wishes to tell Simone, but he’s afraid she will think he’s a freak and leave him. Their life consists of running from one town to another leaving behind bad memories and unfinished dreams. Jay is becoming a recluse and Simone fears she is losing him to a very dark place. When will they stop running and will Jay ever find a way to reveal his secret and save his relationship with his beloved Simone?

Declan Sessions Comes to Electric Picnic

Declan Sessions is a weekly online video showcase which promotes original songwriters in Ireland.

The project is run by Nadine Keogh and Tom O’Connor.

We travel around the country in our vintage VW campervan “Declan” filming singer songwriters performing original songs on the couch. We feature a new artist on our website each week.

The project began in June 2016, and since then we have filmed over 55 artists in 26 towns around the country. The project aims to provide musicians with good quality content that they can use to promote themselves online at no cost to the artist.

This year Declan Sessions will have its own stage in the ArtLot area of Electric picnic. Some of the best artists we’ve recorded over the year will be performing live throughout the weekend.

The event which runs alongside the NI Music Prize, recognises the exceptional contribution of a musician or music industry figure from Northern Ireland. It will be the culmination of this year’s Sound of Belfast festival, which will run from 2 – 11 November, and will be supported by Live Music Partner Blue Moon for a second year.

The presentation will be followed by a live performance from Vivian with his current band Last In Line, at the Mandela Hall, Belfast, November 11.

Vivian Campbell is one of the leading names in rock from Northern Ireland. His story is one of global success that began with Sweet Savage, a band considered to one of the most influential of the ‘New Wave of British Metal’, writing music that influenced the likes of Metallica, who went on to cover a Sweet Savage song.

Vivian has since written, performed, toured and worked with some of the biggest names in rock including Thin Lizzy, DIO, Whitesnake, Riverdogs, and Lou Gramm (ex-foreigner). In 1992 he found a permanent home with British rock legends Def Leppard and this year he celebrates 25 years with the band.

Vivian continues to write and perform on various other projects and will be bringing his current band Last In Line to the Mandela Hall for a special Legend Award performance.

Vivian had this to say about the award “I‘ve been very fortunate that my life’s work has also been my passion. It’s an honour to be recognised for that, and especially so when that recognition comes from my fellow countrymen.

Oh Yeah CEO Charlotte Dryden said: “Vivian Campbell is a global rock name, he’s fully deserving of this award, rock has played a massive role in the story of music in NI and Vivian is one of the trail blazers. We’re delighted to welcome back Blue Moon as our Live Music Partner for what will no doubt be a rousing night for fans of Vivian and a brilliant end to the NI Music Prize as well as the closing night of the Sound of Belfast programme”.

Kim Hayden Releases Debut Album

‘The Other Woman’ is the title track taken from the debut album by, soulful Irish singer songwriter, Kim Hayden.

Speaking about the album, Kim says, “I am so excited and proud of ‘The Other Woman’. It came from a completely honest place. Some may think ‘The Other Woman’ is me talking about another woman in my partner’s life, but funny enough it’s actually about the other woman in me; the wild Kim, the dark Kim. If you listen to the album narrative from start to end, you will be able to tell which Kim it is.

I believe we all have 2 sides and sometimes one cannot be controlled. Every song on the album came from an honest place, and reflected what I was feeling the moment I wrote it. I had a rough year due to ‘The Other Woman’ in me but if I didn’t go through that year the album wouldn’t have happened.

Kim rose to prominence in 2013, when she appeared in that years series of The Voice. Well and truly capturing the hearts of the public Kim made it all the way to the semi finals. Following the show, Kim went on to release her first single titled ”Warrior” which made it to no.1 in the R’n’B iTunes Charts that year. She subsequently released her debut EP ”Better” reached the top 10 in the Irish album charts.

Unbeknownst to Kim, while was competing in The Voice, she caught the attention of Paddy Casey, who loved her voice, and reached out to her to record a duet with him. The result was the track ‘Out Of Control’, which hit the Top 3 in the Irish Charts, and saw Kim and Paddy embark on a radio tour of the country, promoting the track.

A tireless working musician, Kim is constantly busy gigging at different events up and down the country in the run up to the release of ‘The Other Woman’ on August 25th.
