Liminality is the 7th album from Irish composer and producer Seamus O’Muineachain, set to be released on July 7th 2024. Recorded over a 2-year period in Georgia, Thailand, and Ireland, Liminality draws on the nomadic O’Muineachain’s experiences of liminal places; airport terminals, impersonal accommodations, unfamiliar cities and towns. A state of flux is alluded to through brief compositions that search for moments of intimacy and comfort.

Seamus O’Muineachain is a multi-instrumentalist ambient/minimal composer and producer from Belmullet, Ireland. Using piano, synthesizers, and guitars, he aims to create otherworldly atmospheres with simple melodies and textures. His music has been broadcast by RTE (Ireland), ABC (Australia), NHK (Japan), KEXP (USA), and BBC6 (UK). Hot Press Magazine has compared his music to Brian Eno, while the Irish Times has noted a similarity to Harold Budd and Dustin O’Halloran. His main source of inspiration is rural Ireland.
