Irish pop sensation LYRA drops her latest lascivious tinged record ‘Drink Me Up’ on release next Friday February 23rd.
‘Drink Me Up’ evolved out of an encounter of debauchery, a wild one night stand!
LYRA recalls: “simply put, it’s about having wild drunk sex and taking from the night what you want from it, when two people come together for the same thing.”
To coincide with the launch of ‘Drink Me Up, LYRA will embark on her first leg of her Irish headline tour commencing today Thursday, February 15th.
This latest record from the Cork native is a dark and sultry piano based pop melody, which carries LYRA’s vibrant vocals in this almost tango-led, up tempo track.
The song is intertwined with LYRA’s signature drum beats, and her commanding voice that effortlessly plays wavers between lightness and depth, and fragility and strength, which immediately enriches the emotion in her words.
Produced by Swedish household name Nicki Adamsson, who has worked with Charli XCX and Zara Larsson, the record is seductive, strong and invites the listener in to play.
