Gavin James Announced for Pilot Festival on Saturday July 3rd in The Royal Hospital Kilmainham

June 22, 2021

Gavin James completed his world tour at the 3Arena on 29th Feb 2020, its was an amazing sold out (leap year) show, and one of the very last live gigs to happen in Ireland before the industry shut down due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Finally, Gavin will return to top the bill at the governments pilot music festival with a capacity of 3,500 to take place at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin on Saturday 3rd July 2021 with also features some of the country’s hottest artists including Lyra, Denise Chaila, Wild Youth, Sharon Shannon & Wyvern Lingo performing full sets, this will be Ireland’s first music festival in over 15 months and the show will be hosted by The 2 Johnnies.

Gavin says, “I’m so happy to have been asked to perform at this gig and to be sharing the stage with all of these amazing artists. All of the musicians & all of the crews and every single person that are making this show possible are extremely excited to be getting back to doing what they love. I’m doing this performance as I believe it’s a step forward for the live music industry in Ireland and it’s great to see the Governments introduction of testing at the concert. I hope after these pilot shows, a very clear road map for a return of full capacity live shows and events will be given.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 9am and Gavin’s new single ‘Sober’ is out now.
