‘If I Knew’ – Donegal Singer Songwriter Shauna Scanlon shares second Single
‘If I Knew’ is the second single from Donegal singer-songwriter Shauna Scanlon. It follows the huge success of her first single ‘Homebird’ which cemented her as a name to watch in the Irish music scene. ‘If I Knew’ is one of several singles from her upcoming EP.
The song is an anthem for anyone who has been wronged by someone they trusted. It talks about someone you know (a partner, friend or colleague) turning out to be the opposite of who you thought they were and regretting having ever met them. ‘If I Knew’ is the perfect track to belt out in the car or in the shower and let out all your frustrations!
The track is a refreshingly modern take on seventies’ funk featuring a toe-tapping slap bass from Donegal musician Adam Ayres. Shauna’s powerful vocals give the track a neo-soul vibe while all elements are pulled together by producer Callum ‘Gordo’ Gordon.
