1000 Beasts announces details of second album and shares new single

Cork producer 1000 Beasts released his debut album ‘Naruda’ in April 2022. Featuring collaborations and co-writes from an eclectic mix of artists such as FeliSpeaks, Célia Tiab, LENII, Arthur Valentine, April and Orla Gartland, and with well over 6 million streams amassed on the project already, 1000 Beasts has established himself as a varied artist that straddles the line between indie, soul & electronic music.
The concept behind 1000 Beasts is simple. One producer who writes & collaborates with different artists (the “beasts”) on each track to create music greater than the sum of its parts.
Burning Flower is the first single to be released from 1000 Beasts‘ upcoming sophomore album (due in late 23′ via Absolute). The track blends a guitar riff reminiscent of highlife music with a deep pulsating bass line contrasted by the delicate vocals of Laura Elizabeth Hughes.
‘NYCBB’ feat Celia Tiab was synced in Sally Rooneys (Normal People), ‘Conversations With Friends’ & ‘Citroen’ feat. Seamus Harty will be featured in an upcoming episode of Bloodlands (BBC).
A recent collaboration with Tomike also led to a collaboration with Body & Soul Festival in conjunction with Sounds From A Safe Harbour on their new film ÉRIU
1000 Beasts made an impression in 2022 with packed-out slots at Body & Soul and PrimaVolta Limerick for Culture Night, as well as a sold-out tour around Ireland celebrating the release of Naruda. 1000 Beasts takes a live band with him on the road, consisting of drums, bass, guitar, sax, electronics and some featured vocalists. A new tour is yet to be announced for 2023 but is to be expected along with multiple festival appearances.
Dublin Singer Songwriter Laura Elizabeth Hughes has been sharing her take on life, love and all the vulnerable inbetweens on intimate stages across Ireland, England and the U.S for 9 years. Known for her quiet way with words and arresting vocals, her self-recorded 2021 EP “We, Myself, I” was touted as ‘an extraordinary offering’ and her ‘finest work to date’. She is currently working on a new project and body of work set for 2023 release with producer Orri McBrearty (Rosie Carney).
