We were thrilled to join The Academic at Dublin’s 3Arena this week. Before taking to the stage in support of Louis Tomlinson, they were presented with an IMRO award in recognition of their number 1 album, Sitting Pretty.
The IMRO Number 1 Award is given to acknowledge IMRO members who achieve the top spot in the album charts in Ireland.
Sitting Pretty explores the journey into adulthood, capturing the uncertainties and evolving sense of self that accompany this phase of life. The album reflects on finding one’s footing, the weight of time, and the pursuit of joy and meaningful connections. It stands as a testament to the band’s growth and creativity, marking their ongoing evolution as musicians.
Produced by the award-winning former Kaiser Chief member Nick Hodgson at London’s Snap Studios, the album comprises 13 tracks, each boasting a unique and diverse palette of sounds.
