The Saw Doctors | New Album 25:25 Out 16th November

Having played their biggest homecoming show this Summer to over 40,000 fans at the Galway Volvo Ocean Race, and after performing over 2,000 shows in the UK, USA and Australia, The Saw Doctors celebrate 25 years together with a new “Best Of” album of 25 very special songs set for release on 16th November. Running in a rough chronological order through the band’s 25 year history, the new “Best Of” traces the band’s career from their ground-breaking debut single  N17 (recently featured in Chris O’Dowd’s TV series Moone Boy) through to last year’s chart topping smash Downtown with Petula Clark. Along the way we revisit many favourites including I Useta Lover and Presentation Boarders. The album will be available on iTunes as part of a digital bundle with the single, “Music I Love”.

As with all their albums, 25:25 is a celebration of The Saw Doctors West of Ireland heritage.  In their own words:  ‘Born into a repressed, catholic, conservative, small-town, agrarian, angst-ridden and showband infested society we’re trying to preserve the positive elements of our background and marry them to the sounds which have culturally invaded our milieu through TV, radio, 45’s, fast-food restaurants, 24 hour petrol stations and electric blankets’

The Saw Doctors will play Belfast Mandela Hall on November 23 and Dublin’s Olympia on November 24.  Over Christmas The Saw Doctors will play Portlaoise on December 27 and a New Year’s Eve show in Killarney’s INEC on December 31.

Yngve & The Innocent Embark on German Album Launch Tour

After a successful Irish Album Launch Tour earlier this year for their debut album “The Sadness of Remembering”, followed by a summer of festival appearances throughout the UK, Yngve & the Innocent have just embarked on an Album Launch Tour in Germany. “The Sadness of Remembering”, which was recorded live in London’s Soup Studios, has just been released in Germany on Tonetoaster Records.

Brothers Yngve and Demian Wieland form the backbone of Yngve & The Innocent, a band which through various lineup changes has moved from Sligo on the west coast of Ireland via Dublin to London where they’ve been based for the past 4 years. Regularly returning to Ireland they have been averaging over 100 shows a year and have had a succession of breakthroughs including UK national airplay on BBC Radio 2 by Steve Lemacq. Their festival appearances this year have included the Green Man Festival in Wales and Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
