About the IMRO Sponsorship Programme
IMRO’s Sponsorship Programme supports events, projects and initiatives that strengthen music creation in Ireland. We welcome applications from organisers whose work delivers meaningful opportunities for music creators, supports live performance, expands audience engagement and contributes positively to the wider Irish music ecosystem.
Applications will be assessed against a clear set of criteria. In addition to artistic and organisational merit, IMRO places particular value on applications that demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and the active championing of Irish music and Irish music creators.
Application Timeline
Round 1 Applications (for events which take place between January and June) open November 1st and close November 30th
Round 2 Applications (for events which take place between July and December) open June 9th and close July 1st

Please note
- Applications must be submitted within the relevant application window, and late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Previous support from IMRO does not guarantee future funding.
- Funding is awarded at IMRO’s discretion and in line with available budget.

Assessment of Applications is based on
- Overall fit with IMRO’s purpose,
- Quality of the proposal,
- Value for money, and,
- The promotional and partnership opportunities offered.
