Youth Work – Music and Cultural Entrepeurship

May 6, 2016

Engaging with young people and service users

Youth Work Ireland has announced a showcase, networking and learning event as part of its ongoing Erasmus+ project looking at Youth Work practice through music and cultural entrepreneurship. This event builds on the work Youth Work Ireland has been doing in the field of music through its IMRO sponsored Irish Youth Music Awards Programme. The final output of this project is to design an online toolkit/site on how to use music as a tool for engaging and retaining young people in youth services.

This project involves six European partners; UK Youth, Youth CYMRU (Wales), Samfés (Iceland), Youth Scotland, Lithuanian Children and Youth Centre and Youth Action Northern Ireland. The event will involve presentations on the use of music by these project partners under the headings of education, enterprise, employment and enterprise.

This event is funded through the Erasmus + programme with the support of Leargas.
