Tilt #28 takes place in The Button Factory on Oct 22nd 2024 featuring three diverse and talented acts – Ben Bix / DeCarteret / Elikya.
Tilt is a free monthly music showcase event held in The Button Factory curated by John Barker and produced by Steve Caffrey and The Sound Training College. The aim of the live events is to highlight the best emerging Irish acts while also providing training for students interested in a career in the live music industry.
The showcase event was founded in Oct 2019 and has been ever-present in The Button Factory. It’s the longest running full band music showcase event in Dublin. Tilt #28 on Oct 22nd 2024 will be the 5th anniversary of the event and a night of celebration.
Admission is free. Doors are at 7.30pm. Entry is over 18s.

Ben Bix
Ben Bix is a producer and solo electronic artist who is well known in the Irish music scene from his creative output with Meltybrains? and Sim Simma Collective. Before performing at Tilt #28 with his band Ben Bix will be embarking on a 16 date European tour. His new single Goodnight Sexy People is out right now.
DeCarteret
DeCarteret is an artist whose eclectic musical tastes is evident throughout every single and EP she’s released since 2020. She’s collaborated with the likes of Bricknasty, 1000 Beasts, Khakikid and Qbanaa and was included in District Magazine’s Future Of Irish Music in 2023.
Elikya
Elikya specialise in trance inducing music from the heart of Congo. The 9 piece rumba / dance / bass heavy outfit have spent the last 20 years acting as Congolese music’s ambassadors to the nation. They are an incredible collective of musicians live on stage – think full band choreography, a highly stylised wardrobe and the musical expertise of classic big band orchestras.
