“Another Sun Will Rise in Your Eyes, Another Sun Will Pierce the Skies”
Opening with a vocal over flawless production, Haradashi instantly grabs your attention. With Libertines-esque guitars and bass, anchored by a powerhouse backbeat mixed with intricate fills, The Violet Breaks waste no time in setting the stage for their third single. Uplifting harmonies and lush backing vocals seamlessly carry the vocal flow and delivery, while a translucent bridge channels Arctic Monkeys’ AM-era soundscapes.
An infectious chorus follows, inviting listeners to sing along, supported by angular guitar lines and a driving rhythm section. With dynamic shifts throughout, the band takes the track to new heights after the final chorus, delivering an outro that showcases lead guitarist Kevin’s technical prowess. His solo expertly brings the song to a close, leading into a clever, abrupt stop—ending with an isolated vocal that perfectly reinforce the track’s message.
‘Haradashi’ reflects on the uncertainty of life and the inevitability of change, both from a personal and societal standpoint. While the lyrics paint broad strokes of the fragile nature of one’s hopes and dreams, the recurring motif of a new sun rising symbolises hope and renewal despite our darkest hours, “Another Sun Will Rise in Your Eyes, Another Sun Will Pierce the Skies.” Sharing insight into the inspiration behind the track, singer Eoghan explained, “Haradashi was written during a particularly difficult time. It acknowledges that, even after the darkest of nights, the sun will rise again.”
Known for infusing their music with themes of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity, with previous offerings like ‘Mercury’ touching on personal narratives, The Violet Breaks continue to evolve in ‘Haradashi’, with the message that even when the future seems uncertain, a new dawn will always come.

In addition to Haradashi, The Violet Breaks gear up for the forthcoming release of their debut album, “Triple Volt”. The album, set to drop on February 28th, will feature a collection of 10 tracks that showcase the band’s unique sound—a mix of angular guitar riffs, punchy rhythms, and uplifting, anthemic choruses. To celebrate the release of ‘Triple Volt’, the band will headline a special album launch show at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on February 28th.
