The Irish diaspora is proof of that. Maybe that’s why we pride ourselves so much on the Irish welcome, ‘Céad míle fáilte’ and all that—we give visitors here the welcome that we wish our grandfathers, uncles, grannies had when they had to go abroad. I hope that never changes.”
