The Mary Wallopers are a folk group from Dundalk, who
breathe new life into both well known and rare ballads. (You might also
recognise them as the hip-hop duo TPM.) Travelling the length and breadth of
the country singing and collecting songs, they exude a raw energy that could be
described as the Clancy Brothers meet John Lydon.
Their debut EP ‘A Mouthful of Mary Wallopers’ was released in July and features five Irish trad, folk stormers with sean-nós moments. Nialler9 said “The brothers have long been among our favourite Irish acts, with a standout performance at this year’s It Takes A Village festival.”
This is a live performance of ultimate craic and ceol not to be missed. See them live at The Kino, Washington Street, Cork, on Saturday 7th December 2019. Tickets €12 plus booking fee go on sale 10am, Monday 4th November from uticket.ie
