The Darkling Air, renowned for their haunting melodies and evocative lyrics, are have released their first single since 2019. “Pandemonium” arrived on November 22nd, offering a tantalising preview of the Bangor based duo’s highly anticipated third album, Pareidolia, due for release on March 7th, 2025.
The single captures the band’s signature blend of dark, experimental folk, driven by Rachel McCarthy’s shimmering vocals and earthy guitar, underscored by Michael Keeney’s rich piano and string arrangements. Renowned long-time collaborators, Arco String Quartet, make a welcome return.
