On December 12th, 2025, Ten Speed Racer will release their first single for 21 years, entitled, ‘Was it a Moment?‘
All proceeds from the single sales will go to the Stay Human Collective, providing classroom learning, food, water and Humanitarian assistance to communities in Gaza, Palestine. Taken from newly rediscovered recordings from the ‘Big House’ in rural Wexford (where the band lived and recorded for several years), ‘Was it a Moment?’ was recorded in 2003 and has recently been superbly remixed and remastered by Joe Chester.
It is the lead track from an album of previously unheard demos / outtakes and unreleased tracks due for release in 2026. The single will be released for download and streaming on Bandcamp on December 12th. Streaming on other platforms will follow a week later.
All sales proceeds from Bandcamp will go directly to the Stay Human Collective. So, the band really wish that you please push to Bandcamp, as streaming earns pretty much zero for anybody, and the Stay Human Collective needs massive support immediately to continue their incredible and utterly vital humanitarian and educational mission.

In their time, they have been rightly heralded by The Guardian, NME, Hot Press and The Independent to name but a few. After a multitude of repeatedly amazing shows around the USA, England, Scotland and Ireland, the Four solid years of constant touring, recording, writing, and going for it Non-stop between 2000 and 2004, the meteor finally burnt out.
