Opening with soft percussion and an uplifting piano melody, it evolves into a vibrant, euphoric alt-dance anthem, layered with rich electronic textures and introspective bars. A fittingly glorious beginning to their final chapter…..” (Record Of The Day)

“We’ve always been terrified of endings. I suppose this album and this song is us trying to find beauty and joy in things coming to a close because it’s inevitable”. (Tebi Rex. 2025)

Over the past ten years Tebi Rex have proved themselves as a creative powerhouse on the Irish music scene. Releasing two thought provoking, theme driven albums and a host of singles and EPs they have built from roots as an alternative hip-hip duo to produce a wealth of material that has brought in different influences and collaborations with a series of their peers. They have also played shows and festivals across Ireland, UK and Europe, performed online for SxSW and Eurosonic and featured on the Normal People soundtrack amongst other achievements. This summer will see them release their third album Fin. – a record that will also be their last.

Lead single ‘Fin.’ is a work in progress, the sound of dance music being mixed and structured. As with the whole album, the lid has been lifted on the creative process with snippets of studio conversations and ideas left in. It’s the live director’s commentary that accompanies a film, the process of turning disparate words into a poem. Each track on the record will deal with an ending of some sort and ‘Fin.’ is no exception, setting the musical and lyrical tone for what is to come. It draws on feelings of nostalgia, of childhood dance parties, of playing with your friends, of a time passed and long dead.

The track is accompanied by a stylish, dance based video directed by Aiesha Wong. Music from the album featured in Fin. – The Harbinger of Deatha new play written by Dafe Pessu Orugbo staged at Smock Alley Theatre as part of Scene + Heard Festival.
