Taylor D Returns With Rockier Sound in ‘Born To Love You’ March 26th

With a rapidly growing fanbase and a string of successes behind her, Taylor D has firmly established herself as the “Irish Queen of Alt Pop” (IMRO), and this year is set to be a breakthrough for one of the ‘Irish Artists to Watch in 2025’ (Today FM).
The indie pop-rock artist is set release her latest single, “Born To Love You,” on the 26th of March. In a maturing new sound, the track blends the sound of hard-rock guitar riffs with the vulnerability of relatable 19 year-old lyrics, akin to the likes of Olivia Rodrigo in recent years, or her predecessor Avril Lavigne.
“Born To Love You” marks a bold step forward for Taylor D. In this new style, she sheds the old. No more playing games. The track’s anthemic chorus, paired with a driving beat and a full production style, captures the feeling of youthful romance at its most powerful; which is both real and naïve at the same time.
“I wrote Born To Love You from a place of embracing the strength of love,” said Taylor D. “It’s about surrendering to that feeling and realizing that, sometimes, love is a force that you can’t deny. I wanted to create something that could make people feel empowered and alive.”
The track showcases Taylor D’s unique ability to merge indie pop with rock influences, making it an instant standout in her evolving catalog. Known for her bold, unapologetic sound, Taylor D’s music continues to evolve, while consistently orbiting themes of love, heartbreak, and resilience.
“Born To Love You” Will be available for streaming on all major platforms on the 26th of March. Taylor D will also be launching the single in the Whelan’s on the 30th of April. Tickets are available now via the Whelan’s website.
