Ireland’s favorite indie-folk siren Susan O’Neill debuts a new video for “Tijuana,” the latest single from last year’s much-anticipated solo album Now in a Minute. Co-written with Mick Flannery, “Tijuana” weaves the tale of a romance diverging over layered harmonies and O’Neill’s signature soulful vocals. The video is an intimate noir journey through the song’s themes, evoking the pair’s dissolution via the raw essence of a long travel day.
Speaking of the Song Susan says: “This song is about the reality of splitting. Lovers who burned together like fire. Two of them debaucherous, wild and unhinged in their adventures together til one changes. One of them veers toward a more wholesome path, a more balanced life. The other is on a downward spiral. This song is a fictional account of some realness..”
Also premiering a partner video for ‘Tijuana’ today, Susan went on to say “The video was fun to make on a 1950’s train an hour north of Melbourne. The other scene is a bath in Austin Texas. Sometimes you just got to pour your heart out in a bath”

Just back from an epic tour of Australia and New Zealand which culminated in a performance at Dermot Kennedy’s inaugural ‘Misneach’ Festival in Sydney on March 16th alongside Kneecap, The Frames and The Scratch to name a few. Susan picks up her Irish and EU album touring rescheduled from November last year this week. New dates have also been added including O’Neill’s own headline show of Vicar Street in Dublin on May 15th.
