SomeRiseSomeFall Ensemble Release “Some Climb”

June 6, 2017

SomeRiseSomeFall – the talent-laden quintet comprised of Ger Wolfe, Annette Buckley, Hank Wedel, Martin Leahy & Edel Sullivan celebrate the release of their Grateful-Dead-inspired album “Some Climb”, this summer.

Described as ‘music for the human condition’, this album offers the superb rendering of rare Americana gems from the canon of the Grateful Dead and artists who influenced them – including Allen Toussaint, Greg Trooper, Rev. Gary Davis and Jorma Kaukonen, to name a few. The talents of Wolfe, Buckley, Wedel, Leahy & Sullivan give a delicious new voice to these ‘lost songs for lost souls.’

The SomeRiseSomeFall ensemble is an unique musical venture, based on the vision of Cork-based music lover Michael Fitzgerald. The project aims to reach out with indigenous musical talent to highlight positive initiatives in two key areas – mental health awareness & support, and social and community programmes to improve the daily lives of those stuck in the limbo existence of the Direct Provision system.

SOME CLIMB is available now from www.somerisesomefall.com and for download from iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and all other music sites.
