‘Point Of View’ is the second single from Galway based breakthrough Punk-Rockers Slyrydes.
Following on from their much
loved debut single ‘Mental
Health’ Slyrydes have garnered widespread recognition of late for
their no nonsense approach and hard hitting social commentary.
Recorded by Daniel Doherty
(Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, Vulpynes, Galants) in Darklands Recording
Studio, Point of View is a tale of romantic frustration set to a new wave/ punk
soundtrack.
Staccato guitar chords are
joined by thumping drums and a melodic bass groove to provide singer Mark
Raftery with a backdrop for which to rant, something he does with eloquence and
passion.
“It’s about a break up where the ex is still hanging around with your group of friends and you’re sort of frustrated about the entire thing including the relationship and the things you said when you were drunk.”
‘Point Of View’ is available on all platforms April 26th with a special show upstairs in Whelan’s on May 4th.
