Shirley Callaghan writes from the heart, channeling trauma, manipulation, and turmoil to create poignant melodic memoirs that cut through the noise of existence to address real world issues.
She’s influenced by artists such as Kate Bush, Sinead O’Connor, PJ Harvey, Bob Dylan & Michael Stipe, and has been favorably compared to Dolores O’Riordan with Fanbase Music Magazine calling her “One of the best musicians to come out of Ireland since The Cranberries.”
Her debut release Ice Queen was played over 110,00 times on Spotify with Baby Blue 33k & Safety Deposit Box 71k.
In 2023, she completed a two-year songwriting course with the Songwriting Academy of London which is where she met multiplatinum songwriter and producer Paul Statham. Since then, she’s been writing and recording a number of tracks to release an EP/Album later this year.
