Renowned Irish folk rock band Scullion return with a powerful new single, The House Came Down – a direct response to the ongoing devastation in Gaza, with all proceeds going to WarChild, a charity dedicated to supporting children affected by conflict.

Featuring moving guest vocals from internationally-acclaimed artist Natacha Atlas, who is of Palestinian and Jewish descent, The House Came Down is an expression of grief and solidarity – and a reminder of music’s power to connect beyond borders.

Sonny Condell says:
This song was brought about as a response to the constant horrific images of misery and death in the news media, from the wreckage that is Gaza today.

The sight of a little girl in tears, her blood-soaked bandages, her broken limbs – the result of this cruel and meaningless conflict – cannot but stir gut feelings of disbelief and despair at the depravity of war.

What can a song do? Maybe just to say her tears are not forgotten.”

Known for her unique blend of Western and Middle Eastern musical influences, Natacha Atlas brings an emotional and haunting presence to the track. Of both Palestinian and Jewish descent, with a rich and complex heritage, her voice adds profound weight to a song shaped  by empathy and reflection. The moving collaboration between Scullion and Atlas reflects the power of music to connect across cultures and speaks to a longing for peace.

All funds raised will go directly to WarChild, a charity which protects, educates, and stands up for the rights of children in war.
