Scattered Ashes Debut Release Out Now

November 20, 2020

Dublin-based Scattered Ashes release their debut single ‘Love Is Not An Option’ today, Friday 20th November. A bold opening statement from the band, the track is a dive into the sinister aspects of an ailing relationship. The substance of which is a tandem between the prophetic vocals of frontman Robert Dalton, and the urgent guitar stylings of Ben Downes. The abrasive four-piece range in influence from Brutalism to Punk, matching aggressive sonic textures with a strict sense of space.

You can hear our influences, but the product is entirely our own. Taking cues from the likes of Bauhaus, Gang of Four, Sisters of Mercy & Joy Division we sit in a darker lane than most of our contemporaries, taking post-punk back to its murkier roots.

‘Love Is Not An Option’ was recorded at Darklands, in Dublin with Dan Doherty, mastered by Pete Maher.
