San Rocco Drops New Alt-Rock Single ‘Manners’

San Rocco returns with Manners a high-voltage burst of alt-rock and post-punk energy this Friday, May 29th.

Built on driving rhythms, distorted guitars, and manic, synth-laced textures, the track channels the restless spirit of acts like Viagra Boys and Devo while retaining the band’s signature cinematic edge.

Looking deeper at the lyrics ‘Manners’ takes charge at the absurdities of etiquette and “good behaviour,” turning social expectation into satire. What unfolds is equal parts confrontation and release, an unravelling of restraint set against a backdrop of controlled sonic chaos.

Having emerged from the Irish music scene in late 2023 with their debut single Enola’, San Rocco has been named as one of Dublin’s most exciting new acts. Described by Hot Press as a “new wave banger” with a Peter Hook-esque bassline and existential bite, the track set the tone for a band unafraid of intensity or atmosphere.

‘Manners’ marks the first release from San Rocco’s upcoming 2026 sessions and displays a bolder evolution in their sound, one that embraces disorder while still cutting with precision.

Their new single recorded at Black Mountain Studios in Co. Louth with producer Peter Baldwin, the track was later shaped in collaboration with Richie Kennedy (Cliffords, Cardinals, Scustin), whose mixing brings clarity to its intensity without taming its edge.
