As part of Culture Night 2025, Dublin’s North Inner City will resonate with the sound of world-class music as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra joins forces with acclaimed Irish cellist Patrick Dexter for a special free performance at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Sean McDermott Street.
This early-evening concert will feature 45 musicians performing a specially curated programme that blends classical and Irish traditional influences. Patrick Dexter, who won global acclaim during lockdown with his soulful outdoor performances from his West of Ireland cottage, will bring his signature style to the stage. His debut album ‘Solace’ reached No. 15 in the US and Canadian charts, captivating millions of listeners worldwide.
Our Lady of Lourdes Church, a neo-Romanesque landmark with deep historical and spiritual roots, provides a unique backdrop for this cultural celebration. From its beginnings as a tin chapel in 1915 to its dedication in 1961 and its strong legacy of community solidarity and addiction recovery support, the church is both a spiritual and social cornerstone of Dublin’s North Inner City.
