Roscó Flanagan to Release New Single ‘Ballad For the Gap of Danger’

April 25, 2022

Roscó Flanagan is a folk and blues artist from Dublin, Ireland. He first emerged on the scene playing original songs around the rousing pubs of his hometown in the mid to late 2000s. His unique lyrics, honest vocals and naturally developed fingerstyle approach to acoustic guitar quickly garnered the attention of his peers. He has successfully played a handful of festivals across Ireland to enthusiastic reception.

In the midst of the pandemic lockdowns – and an overcoming of significant personal loss – the decidedly humble two tracks that make up ‘Take This Hand’ were recorded, mixed and mastered by modest means at home in 2021. Released that fading summer, this act of “doing” signified a watershed moment in the evolution of a musician beginning to realise his own potential. The results were reviewed favourably by several local magazines and online music zines, as well as being featured on various playlists in the digital streaming world.

Encouraged by the response, Roscó booked himself into the studio towards the closing of the year to lay down the uplifting, wistful ‘Ballad For The Gap Of Danger’.

Officially available as of April 29th, this represents the work of a maturing songwriter ready to face the music. Sights are already set on the coming of his debut EP later this year.
