Rising Irish pop artist Romeo Keane recently released his brand-new single, ‘Doubt‘, on May 13th, 2026. Blending contemporary R&B, deep house, and pop, the track delivers a vibrant, feel-good sound just in time for summer.
Written, produced, and mastered by Mark James McDermott (Romeo Keane), ‘Doubt’ captures the artist’s signature fusion of catchy melodies, rhythmic grooves, and emotive storytelling. The single follows his 2025 release ‘Closer‘, which became his most successful track to date, gaining over 2,000 Spotify streams and receiving airplay on Irish stations including Spin 1038 and 98FM.
‘Doubt’ explores themes of self-belief and overcoming insecurity, wrapped in an energetic and uplifting sonic palette. Featuring a blend of sleek synth textures, funk-inspired grooves, and a bouncy deep house rhythm, the track showcases Romeo’s evolving sound and artistic vision.
“I wrote and produced ‘Doubt’ myself with the intention of creating a feel-good, summery track about disregarding doubting yourself,” says Keane. “Unfortunately I sometimes doubt myself throughout my life, but when I listen to this song I remember the times when I haven’t doubted myself and I try to bring that positive energy into my life and mindset. I wanted the track to sound cool, groovy and futuristic… to me, it’s the type of track that would sound like a treat on a bright summery day and also sound electric in a nightclub.”
Based in Dublin, Romeo Keane has been steadily building momentum since his debut releases in 2023. In 2025 alone, he amassed over 300,000 TikTok views and more than 1 million Instagram Reels views, largely driven by live performance clips of original songs such as ‘Focused On You (Right Now)’ and ‘Closer’. His growing fanbase—currently over 1.7k followers on Instagram—spans Ireland and the UK, with notable engagement from established musicians.
Known for his energetic live shows, often incorporating dance and acoustic performances, Romeo has performed at prominent Dublin venues including Whelan’s, The Workman’s Club, The Grand Social, and more. He is set to perform again in Dublin in summer 2026, with details to be announced.
